Description |
Compilation of newsreel items from the Liverpool area. Lord Derby's recruiting band (band of the King's Liverpool regiment?) are seen on Lower Breck Road, Anfield, 1915, followed by F.L. Joseph and James Parker MP addressing the crowd and the band marching past Anfield Post Office and John Irwin Sons and Co Ltd. Wounded soldiers are seen being unloaded from ambulances before going on a sea trip. The third section shows a Liverpool Police Inspection at Sefton Park on 22nd June 1922 and the final story shows the air minister attending a ceremony at Chester Cathedral in November 1927 for airmen who fell during the First World War. |
