Description |
Footage of various family outings; scenes shot in Blackpool, with a steam train travelling along the track, shots of other trains and men working on the line, and then passing a large campsite. After scenes in the train carriage, waves are seen crashing on the promenade at high tide, and there is a shot of the tower from below. This is followed by shots of the beach, the promenade, the Winter Gardens and the Central Pier from the Tower, and scenes in the lift descending. Women are seen on a weighing machine and there is a shot of the S.S. Isle of Man. There are then detailed scenes of the Illuminations (scenes from nursery rhymes and fairy tales, illuminated buildings and trams, and specially shaped trams - the "Gondola" and the "Lifeboat"). |
