Scenes from the Glossop and District Scouts camping trip to Holland in 1978. We see the scouts leave on a coach as their families wave goodbye. We then see scenes from their trip to Holland. They stay at Camping de Tolplas and there are lots of scenes throughout the film of the scouts at the campsite. We see them eating, washing up and larking around. We see them on a cycling trip near the campsite and they visit various places in Holland. They visit the war cemetery at Arnhem, they relax and eat ice cream and chips on the shores of a lake at Oudemeyer, they go for a sightseeing boat trip in Amsterdam and they visit Kampen and Volendam. They also see a demonstration of clog making. There are shots of the English scenery from the coach window on the journey home, including the Woodhead Pass. |
