Description |
A chance to meet some of the people in the North West behind the labels - ‘refugee’ and ‘asylum seeker’. Interviewees Jean Blanchard, Alan Amin, and Kashif Ali are all trying to make their mark in a creative field, while beginning a new life in a new country. They talk about the challenges they face, and issues such as problems with work, language, and integration. There are short clips from live music performances, an excerpt from a film made by Alan Amin, and Erin McNeany talks about the Exodus project, set up to support refugee artists. |
