Opens on a group of male apprentices sitting in a classroom waiting to see an introductory film about Stanton Iron Works in Derbyshire. Includes a shot of the lecturer getting the film projector ready to run. The film focuses on the various processes that occur in the manufacture of Stanton Spun Iron Pipes. Includes shots of the men working on the furnaces, casting machinery and production line. Concludes with scenes of the cast iron pipes being loaded on to the back of a lorry in the yard. |
