Description |
Footage of the Riley Family on various trips: Coronation Day in Horwich, with flags, street parties, brass bands, policemen and civic dignitaries, a celebration in Queens Park in Bolton, and a steam train, the "Coronation Scot" doing over 60mph. This is followed by scenes in Blackpool with the illuminations, a trip on a tram, a picnic on Rivington Pike, scenes in Lever Park, a Wigan v Widnes Rugby League match and soccer at Bury. There is a whit walk, including groups from Holy Trinity Mission and St Elizabeth's Mission and a shot of Horwich Parish Church. There is a first aid demonstration, scenes at a steel works, gardens and some majorettes. |
