Description

Domestic scenes from the Leach family. The first scenes are from the summer of 2001. We see James and John at home. The boys are helping to put a new pump into the garden pond, and we see lots of views of the pond when the pump is up and running. There are also scenes shot inside the house. James is on the computer and we see shots of the screen when he is playing games and using MSN Messenger. We see the Leach family having a barbecue at home in the garden, and the boys helping with some jobs in the garden. We then see Emily, she is a little girl and she plays at doing jobs in the garden. Her baby sister Rachel is in a buggy. We then see lots of scenes with Emily and Rachel. They are given a bath together and we see Rachel being fed. Emily plays in the garden where she has a sandpit, a paddling pool and a slide. We also see Emily playing indoors. The summer scenes are followed by events from December 2001. We see Emily taking part in a nativity play, and then at home helping to make mince pies. On Christmas Eve we see the family in the living room. The girls are helped to hang up their stockings and leave a carrot for Rudolph and a mince pie for Santa. On Christmas morning we see the family opening their presents and Emily plays on her new Barbie scooter. A few days later we see Emily playing in the snow covered garden.
