Description |
A look at the Port of Liverpool beginning with cranes at dawn then the unloading of shipping containers. Next we see forklift trucks unloading the ship 'Myrmidon' and lorries heading for the motorways. Transporting containers with cranes from lorries to ship and vice versa. Forklift's move produce from dockside to the warehouses. Inside the control room we see a man switching lights on a wall mounted display board. Conveyor belts move sand from the ship to lorries and trains move containers around the Port of Liverpool. A dredger at work on the river Mersey then we see inside the control tower while pipes are loaded onto a ship. The film is intercut with interviews with members of the Port of Liverpool management. |
