Description |
A soapbox derby on Southport beach-front from 1952, followed by prize-giving and speeches by local civic dignitaries. Members of 13th Preston (St Thomas) Scouts are seen on two annual camps, including the 1953 Coronation Year trip to Oban. The boys are seen on boats in the harbour, setting up camp, and visiting the Highland Games at Glencoe (which are then re-enacted back at camp). Various different races from a cub scout sports day in 1952 conclude. |
