Collection of shots about the landscape and buildings in and around Pendle Hill in east Lancashire. The film opens with a map of the area and some locations are pointed out with a pencil. There follow shots of Pendle Hill, the gates of Whalley Abbey as they open and close, churches in Whalley, Newchurch and Downham, the river Calder, Castle Street in Clitheroe, the village of Roughlee and other houses and cottages in the area. The opening titles include a reference to the Amateur Cinema League. |
