Description

Scenes from the Glossop and District Scouts camping trip to Holland in 1983. We see people waiting in a pub car park for the coach to arrive, and then there are views filmed from the window of the moving coach. We see the scouts and their leaders at the campsite throughout the film, we see them eating, washing up and relaxing around the tents. There are scenes from their trips around Holland. We see them visiting historic buildings in The Hague, swimming in the open air pool at Noordwijk, visiting the model village at Madurodam, taking a sightseeing boat trip in Amsterdam, going up the Euromast in Rotterdam and seeing the sights in Volendam and Gouda. There are also scenes from a flower parade with marching bands, dance troupes and people wearing fancy dress. Children ride bikes in the procession that are heavily decorated with flowers and the floats are also decorated with lots of flowers. Finally we see a table heavily laden with buffet food at the campsite for the boys' farewell party, and then there are views from the coach on the way home.
