Description |
Film featuring a wartime procession in Dukinfield, involving a wide variety of groups of diverse ages, some military, some civilian and some religious. Many carry banners and flags. Intercut with this is; footage of children in a street with some adults, scenes at the seaside and some fires at night. There is also footage of a family game of cricket in a park, children racing and scenes from Stamford Park, Ashton-under-Lyne, including boats and a bowling green. In addition there are shots from Belle Vue amusement park and zoo. The film closes with further shots of the procession in front of Dukinfield town hall. |
