Description

Film explaining the relationship between Oldham police force and the general public. After a brief history of the force (including shots of the uniform at various stages since 1849), there are four sections dealing with the various branches of the police service: uniformed officers, detectives, mobile units and administration. The segments include dramatised crimes, footage of Oldham police at work, and film from the police's own archives.
