Film showing the exteriors of various Manchester cinemas and commentating on their passing. Begins with the Grosvenor Picture House on Oxford Road with the mural at the rear, before other old cinemas including the Grand, Palace and Arcadia in Levenshulme; Forum in Northenden; Concorde (formerly Lido, Odeon and Classic) in Burnage; the Capitol in Didsbury; Plaza in Stockport; Apollo in Ardwick Green; Essoldo (formerly Rivoli) in Gorton; Davenport Cinema; Tatton in Gatley; Savoy in Heaton Moor and Playhouse in Miles Platting. Exterior of Granada Television Studios and examples of Hollywood Studios and their ouput.
