Description |
Preparations for a carnival procession on 16th June 1951, part of Burnley's Festival of Britain celebrations. After a series of titles, there are shots of some of the floats, including weavers, the Society of St. George and the St. John's Ambulance Brigade. Police manage the crowds that line the route on Padiham Road before the parade itself moves through, led by official cars and followed by military vehicles and a band. |
