Description |
The making of Lancashire-style hay rakes by craftsmen and their machines at a former bobbin mill in Cumbria. After a brief shot of a cottage, the film follows the production of these distinctive wooden rakes with their bow-shaped braces, from the uncut wood to the finished article. The film ends with a man using one of the rakes in a field of newly-cut grass. |
