Description

Members of the St. John's Amublance parade the streets with a brass band and lots of flags. Children are seen playing on a playground before large numbers of nurses join the parade. A senior member makes a presentation, and there is marching on a parade ground. This is followed by scenes in Southampton and Portsmouth docks, with various destroyers, older boats and hovercraft seen on the water. A traffic policeman is seen directing cars, a helicopter is shown above, and background views of the docks are visible.
