Description

Student documentary examining the verbal and physical abuse that football referees at all levels have to put up with. Officials, including international referee Uriah Rennie, and officers from the Football Association share their thoughts on the challenges that referees face. The film looks at media coverage of and reaction to controversial decisions. There are reconstructions of intimidating incidents experienced by junior officials, a Lancashire FA commission dealing with an allegation of abuse, and footage of referees in action.
