Description |
Scenes from the 1968 Manchester Grammar School trekking holiday in Switzerland. The film opens with scenes from Manchester Piccadilly railway station. The staff and students depart on a train, there are views of the traffic on the motorway from the train window and then there are brief scenes in Euston Station. We next see the party boarding a boat at Folkestone Harbour. We also see them at the railway station in Sion and later into their holiday at the railway station at St. Niklaus. We see shots of the boys trekking in the mountains, and there are views of dramatic mountain scenery and a glacier. There are also views from a cable car. We see scenes from their campsites, we see the boys preparing, cooking and eating food, and also packing up their tents. The film ends with slow motion scenes of the boys jumping towards the camera on the deck of a ferry. |
