Description |
The films opens with a group of small boys throwing fallen branches at horse chestnut trees to bring down the conkers which they collect in bags. A boy climbs the tree. We then see children playing in the snow while a man clears the drive with a shovel. We see views of the countryside and a transmission tower from a moving car. A family play with a skipping rope in a garden. There follow scenes from Macclesfield Carnival. there are floats and dance troupes. Some of the signs on the floats can be clearly seen, 'Silk Queen 1971', Marple Carnival Queen Christine', 'Silk Princesses 1971' and 'Droylsden Carnival Queen'. |
