Description |
A man wearing a bowler hat on horseback leads the 1979 Lower Withington Rose Queen Festival followed by a girls' dance troupe, a marching brass band, tractor-pulled floats and people in fancy dress collecting money for charity. The Rose Queens pass with the current Queen on a car's bonnet and the future Queen in a horse-drawn carriage. The parade arrives at the showground and the coronation ceremony of the Rose Queens begins. The film ends with the prize giving for the fancy dress and decorated floats competitions. |
