Description |
A police car leads troupes of dancers at the beginning of the Barrow parade followed by brass bands, people in fancy dress, decorated floats with carnival queens and several kazoo bands. We next see the kazoo bands on the carnival showground marching in elaborate formations and the Carnival Queens sat on their thrones. Scenes from the TV show 'It's a Knockout' featuring competitors collecting buckets of water whilst wearing roller-skates, heading footballs past a goalkeeper on a trampoline and doing an obstacle course carrying a ladder. |
