Description

Footage of a concert by the Nicaraguan band 'Heroes and Martyrs' at WFA in Manchester. The evening is introduced by Maria Isobella Vaughan who talks about the Ronald Reagan presidential regime in USA and attacks made on Sandanista revolution - people fighting for their own liberation. Then Francisca Carrosco on behalf of ACCHLA (Chilean and Latin American Cultural Association) welcomes Nicaraguan comrades. Chilean people and all peoples give solidarity with the struggle of the Nicaraguan people.
There are messages from the NUM (Miners Union) who have given support to the Nicaraguans and welcome the resurgence of popular culture. The group of five musicians then start to play - accordions, guitars and Spanish vocals. People dance on the small area in front of the stage.
During the interval a speaker from Pakistan talks about US imperial policies in Pakistan and Morenga Bangbata speaks about apartheid in Azania (South Africa). Morena Monerang reads a poem about Azania.
