Description

Film showing all of the processes involved in the production of steel wire - iron ore is unloaded at the docks, the steelworks receives a delivery of coke and scrap iron is transported to the furnaces. Once the steel has been smelted, a sample is taken to the labs and tested, and the steel goes through a number of different rolling processes before emerging as wire. Also includes footage of steel girders being inspected.
