Description |
Scenes from a rag week procession on the streets of Manchester held by students from Manchester College of Science and Technology (now UMIST). Footage includes shots of floats, participants in various costumes and onlookers. There are shots of University buildings, Piccadilly Gardens, Oxford Road station, and the Oxford Cinema (which is showing 'Around The World in Eighty Days' starring David Niven). Examples of student horseplay include games of golf and hockey on the street, and some of the participants are arrested. |
