Description

Film to promote relocation to Central Lancashire. Two genteel ladies, a mother and her daughter, are seen discussing the horrors of the slum-ridden, rain drenched cultureless North. A man interjects and is heard dispelling the various myths about the North. The voice over is illustrated by footage of Preston, Chorley and Leyland as well as of Manchester, Liverpool and Southport. Housing , leisure, shopping, sport, education, entertainment and transport options are all featured. The two women are completely won over. The man tries to dissuade the mother from coming to the North, he is seen running along a railway line into the distance, his arms waving frantically, as the film finishes.
