Description

A carnival procession, part of Burnley's Festival of Britain celebrations, moves down a wide thoroughfare. The parade features representation from the Electrical Trades Union and Compton's Cloth Industry, before the watching crowd merge with a line of cars and cyclists to follow the rear of the procession. The carnival queen is pictured on a viewing platform surrounded by the crowd. The film ends with brief shots of what appear to be bookmakers at an unspecified event (possibly at Prairie Field, Burnley).
