Description

Scenes from the Blackburn Centenary Trade Procession - various different bands are seen, as well as people in fancy dress and a number of floats, including Blackburn Photographic Society and Blackburn Public Libraries. Scenes taken from the television of St Alban's Church, as well as exterior views of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. Bishop Beck is seen at the foundation-stone laying ceremony for a new church in 1958 and there are shots from several Whit Walks. The film ends with an open-air service at the Church of the English Martyrs, Whalley, 1956.
