Description |
Opens with scenes of St Mark's Church Cheetham Hill's Whit Walk in 1969. Also features footage shot on a late 1960s housing estate in Cheetham Hill which is now demolished. Children are seen in the summer and then the winter, playing in snow, as are a group of young men. Continues with footage from a children's Christmas party, and of a group of elderly people aboard a boat on the Manchester Ship Canal. The filmmaker's wife is seen walking in the Croal - Irwell valley and later in a park. Features further shots of children playing, and footage of St Mark's Church's 1973 Whit Walk. |
