Unedited footage of Higher Mill in Helmshore, shot in July 1972, for inclusion in a BBC 'Chronicle' programme, shown as part of the 'Industrial Grand Tour of Great Britain' series. Includes exterior shots of a row of cottages and interior shots of the Counting House. Derek Pilkington demonstrates the use of various counting instruments and shows how a small spinning machine would have been operated in a worker's home.
