Description |
Film showing the various processes involved in milk production. Cows are seen in a field near Clitheroe, they are herded to a milking shed and milked. The milk is seen being transferred into milk churns. Prestwich co-op dairy - a van is seen leaving - loaded with milk churns. The van arrives at the farm where its empty churns are unloaded and replaced with full ones. The film continues with footage from the dairy. On its arrival the van is unloaded and the milk is poured into large vats. Tests are seen being carried out in the dairy's laboratory. Various machines are seen functioning - bottles are filled and transported along a conveyor belt from which they are packed into crates. Milk floats leaving the dairy and delivering milk. Closes with a very brief shot of people on a hillside. |
