Description |
Film of the official opening of the British Commercial Vehicle Museum of England at Leyland. Prince Michael of Kent performs the opening. There are shots of the museum prior to the Princes visit, exhibits are seen as are crowds of museum officials and the public. The prince's car arrives with a police escort - he greets various museum officials before entering the museum followed by press and photographers. The Prince tours the museum - he is seen being driven down a road aboard a traction engine and a truck, as crowds of children frantically wave flags. People are seen taking refreshments inside the museum before the opening ceremony - which consists of the Prince delivering a speech and unveiling a plaque. The film closes with shots of the Prince being driven off as crowds wave, and of the exterior of the museum. |
