Film of the rally at St Brendans Hall, Old Trafford following the annual Manchester Martyrs march to commemorate the execution in Salford Gaol of William Philip Allen, Michael Larkin, and Michael O'Brien in 1867. In the course of freeing fellow Fenians from a police van a policeman was killed. The rally starts with a welcome from Pete and then followed by a speech from Arthur, representing the Birmingham Six who were falsely accused of the Birmingham pub bombings in 1975 and who were under life sentences. |
