Description

Family and friends wave to passengers aboard a Canadian Pacific ship, the Empress of Canada, cruising to Quebec, Canada. There is a glimpse of the Liver Building as the liner departs Liverpool's quayside and the Maid of Cumbrae ferry is seen. After a lifeboat drill and a visit to the bridge, passengers play deck games. In Canada they sail up the St Lawrence River to visit Quebec, taking in views of the Chateau Frontenac Hotel and Quebec City Bridge. In Montreal there are views of the Biosphere and other buildings built for Expo 67 on St Helen's Island. They visit the amusement park on the island. The Chateau Closse sleeper train is taken through the Rockies and there is a visit to the Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
