Description |
Four lads are seen out and about in the countryside around Kettleshulme in Cheshire - camping, hill-walking and rock climbing. Salford Lads' Club boys are seen arriving at London Road Station in Manchester to go to camp in Aberystwyth in May 1951. On arrival, they are seen presenting themselves for inspection, cooking and eating dinner in the mess tent, and washing the pots and themselves afterwards. Footage of the various races during sports day and of a local football match is followed by a visit to the river to go swimming. The lads are seen packing up on the last day and heading to the station where the group leaders are seen singing "Auld Lang Syne" before they leave. |
