Description |
Subtitled - 'A journey from dirty old towns to bee friendly cities' This film features bee keepers Alan Davis, Jack Hobb and Kay Phillips as they travel from the hives kept on their allotments in Salford and Harpurhey into Manchester city centre to interview fellow bee keepers. They visit the rooftop bee hives and bee keepers of Manchester Cathedral, The Printworks, Manchester Art Gallery and finally Manchester Museum where they're shown an ancient Egyptian bee hive and hieroglyph. They also discuss the use of the bee as the symbol for the city of Manchester. |
