Description

The seventh session of a 10 week Celebration of African Culture, held at WFA Media and Cultural Centre in Manchester between February and May 1983. Side of stage coverage of the Saturday 16 April evening cultural programme with the Liverpool group, Delado, performing African singing, dancing, instrumentals and drumming in African dress. Their performance is interspersed by a young rapper who performs work on the theme of resistance - about living in UK, imperialism, love, and doing the best you can. Performance ends at 28 minutes.
