Description

Film intended to inform retailers about decimalisation (which happened on February 15th, 1971), and to encourage them to convert to decimal currency. After establishing shots of rural and urban environments, the film explains the process of changeover with scenes in shops, and street footage. Dramatised sequences include the problems of a hardware shop owner who procrastinates about changing, and a scene in which a cheery landlord explains how the new coins work to sceptical drinkers.
