Description

Bill Hart and others are seen playing in the back yard with a tricycle and toy lorry. Scenes outside Bolton Town Hall as crowds prepare to welcome King George VI in May 1938 and shots of the Royal motorcade on Bridge Street. Various family scenes follow - on the beach, in a garden, on a sea front, at a park and at 'Meadow Grove' farm where there is footage of work in a hay field. Bill Hart is seen cleaning outside the back door, clearing snow from the yard, and playing in a boating pool before the film ends with the family at Lytham St Annes.
