Description |
The film opens on the demolition of houses and shops in Stretford. Later a crane can be seen lifting a truck out of a ditch. We see a high rise building that is under construction. A group of men in suits wearing hard hats stand on top of the high rise building, having some drinks then later some of them pour some concrete. Exterior shots of an empty Old Trafford football ground followed by shots of supporters walking to the stadium. We see shots of the various shops that are closing down to make way for the new Stretford Arndale shopping mall. The opening of the Municipal Computer Centre followed by the opening of Osprey Court flats by the mayor with views from the top. The film ends with brief shots of the reconstruction of the footbridge over Bridgewater canal. |
