Scenes from a year in Bollington. Winter landscape scenes of snow on the hills, a cricket match in the snow and people sledging. Then into spring with scenes of blossom on the trees and boys fishing. Shots of a swan, and close up shots of sheep, flowers and the waterfall in Rainow. In summer there are scenes of a tractor in a field and workers hay-making. In Autumn there are scenes of the participants in the Remembrance Day Parade before the parade takes place, and then the parade itself followed by the Remembrance Day Ceremony where wreaths are laid on the war memorial. There are also scenes of a barrel rolling event with brief shots of other games such as hammer throwing, and then a game of tug of war. There is a shot of children riding donkeys, and close up shots of berries on a tree, flowers and butterflies. The film ends with another cricket match in the snow. |
