Description |
The unveiling of the Eric Morecambe statue by Queen Elizabeth II on the 23rd of July 1999. We see the Queen and Prince Philip arrive and talk to the sculptor Graham Ibbotson in front of a large crowd of spectators. The Queen unveils the statue, receives a bouquet of flowers and watches a local dance troop before departing for the royal train. The event is also covered by local television and radio. |
