Description |
Mr J Sinclair Kerr of Lancashire Steel Corporation's Irlam Works is seen with the managers of the various different departments on site. Includes footage of the construction of No 5 Blast Furnace, cutting metal in the scrap yard, feeding the furnace and inspecting finished girders and steel wire. There are views of Dr Binnie in the laboratory and the film ends with extended scenes in the new costing department, with women working at typewriters and adding machines. |
