Description |
Film of several Royal events in Marple. Groups of children waving flags line the road to see Queen Elizabeth II on her way to open a garden and leisure centre in 1967. There is a garden party for the Silver Jubilee at the Brook's family home, and the Queen is seen at Hazel Grove in the same year. A display of decorated cakes are shown at a college, and a class of ladies make Easter Eggs in the kitchens. The film ends with Nigel Brook and Edna Wheawell (Thelma Brook's mother) walking the dog in the park, and then returning to her house in Cavendish Road, West Didsbury. |
