Description |
The ceremonial cutting of the first sod for the Liverpool to Wallasey Tunnel, January 1966 is followed by views of digging work on the tunnel. Scenes from a ceremony to mark the meeting of the two ends of the tunnel, and of a local dignitary pressing a button to detonate explosives. An excavator is seen at work in an old railway cutting, and there are views of boats on the Mersey and of houses being demolished. |
