Description

The processing of household waste and the opening of a new branch library in Burnley. A dustcart arrives at a refuse depot carrying sacks of recyclable materials. There are scenes inside the depot of the salvage process, including workmen sorting through paper and scrap metal as it passes by on a conveyor belt. The film cuts to the opening of Burnley Wood branch library, at which the mayor helps to issue a book with the help of the Library Chairman.
