A look at the contribution black residents of Manchester have made to the city’s artistic, educational, and sporting life, and how African-Caribbean culture has enriched culture and society. Arts promoter Garfield Allen, footballer Alex Williams, and social worker Liz Antigha are amongst those reminiscing about their own and their parents’ experiences of arriving and working in Britain, talking about the work they do, and confronting the ongoing issues of racism and discrimination and the sporadic calls by far-right organisations for repatriation of non-white workers. |
