Description |
The coat of arms for Macclesfield, portraits of local dignitaries are followed by views of the crowds waiting in Market Place. The Royal couple arrive at Hibel Road Station - the Duke of Edinburgh inspects a guard of honour and Princess Elizabeth is presented with a bouquet by Shirley Hankinson. They drive through cheering crowds to the town hall where Town Clerk Walter Isaac reads an address before they move on to the Council Chamber.
