Description |
Scenes from the 1977 Swinton Whit-Sunday walk. Various Sunday schools, churches, bands and youth organisations take part in the procession. The film cuts to scenes from the Silver Jubilee in June 1977. The family watch the live Royal events being aired on television. Crowds gather outside for the street party, there's plenty of food and drink as well as games and races. At night, the party continues back in the house. |
