Description

A couple filmed in various locations, plus scenes from the Westhoughton Gala and Rose Queen Carnival on August 3rd 1935. After opening shots of a boating pool, there are garden scenes outside a suburban house, featuring the couple and two pet dogs. At the Westhoughton Gala, a big procession led by Rose Queen Constance Bird passes through the town. The rest of the film features the couple on holiday in London, Stratford-upon-Avon, Torquay, Scarborough and Whitby. Also includes brief footage of Blackpool sea front and of a royal visit by George VI and Queen Elizabeth as they pass by in a car.
